OUR MANAGEMENT TEAM
Chief of Medicine
Erika R. Mueller, D.V.M., DACVECC; Founding Partner
Dr. Mueller is a board-certified emergency and critical care specialist and is in charge of medicine at our hospital. She is a graduate of the University of Tennessee's College of Veterinary Medicine and completed her residency in emergency and critical care at the Animal Emergency Center in Wisconsin, a leader in the field of emergency and critical care medicine. Dr. Mueller's areas of interest include pain control and mechanical ventilation and she has practiced in the New England area for approximately 10 years.
Chief Executive Officer
Brenda J. Salyer; Founding Partner
Ms. Salyer is in charge of our hospital's business operations. She received her B.A. from the University of Michigan and worked for many years in higher education and financial services, including Harvard University, the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, and State Street Corporation. She brings extensive experience in business development, marketing communications and relationship management, information technology, and human resource management to our hospital.
OUR EMERGENCY AND CRITICAL CARE DOCTORS
Laura Cummings, D.V.M. Dr. Cummings has been practicing at our hospital for over 3 years. She is a Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine graduate who performed her internship at Norwalk Veterinary Referral and Emergency Hospital.
Jennifer Godown, D.V.M. Dr. Godown has been with us for over a year. She is a North Carolina State University School of Veterinary Medicine graduate and completed her internship at Garden State Veterinary Specialists in New Jersey. She practiced most recently as an emergency veterinarian at the Animal Medical Center of New England in Nashua, NH.
Kerrianne Kalbko, D.V.M. Dr. Kalbko joined our medical team this year. She is a Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine graduate and completed a Small Animal Internship at the Animal Medical Center in New York. Most recently, she was an Emergency Service Intern at the University of Pennsylvania.
Alicea Klemas, D.V.M. Dr. Klemas joined our medical team this year. She is a Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine graduate and completed her senior clinical rotations at The Ohio State University School of Veterinary Medicine. She practiced most recently as an emergency veterinarian at Vetcision in Waltham, MA.
Kirstin A. Losert, D.V.M.; Founding Partner Dr. Losert received her B.S. and M.S. in Occupational Therapy at Tufts University and worked for several years in human health care administration before returning to Tufts for her D.V.M. from the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Losert has practiced emergency veterinary medicine for several years in both Massachusetts and Connecticut.
Kirsten Piotrowski, D.V.M. Dr. Piotrowski joined our medical team this year. She is a graduate of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University and more recently was a surgical resident at Cheshire Animal Hospital in Connecticut.
Tara Wainwright, D.V.M. Dr. Wainwright has been practicing at our hospital for over 3 years. She is a North Carolina State University School of Veterinary Medicine graduate who performed her internship at Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine.
