Dr. Kirstin Johnson, DACVIM, Medical Director

Dr. Johnson completed her undergraduate coursework at the University of Colorado at Boulder and subsequently attended Kansas State College of Veterinary Medicine. She then completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Veterinary Specialty Hospital (San Diego, CA) before completing her residency in Small Animal Internal Medicine at Mississippi State University in 2009. She became a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in 2011.

Dr. Johnson enjoys all aspects of small animal internal medicine but is particularly interested in non-invasive procedures that include interventional radiology and laparoscopy. She also has a keen interest in respiratory disease, especially in cats, immune-mediated disorders, and gastrointestinal disease.

Dr. Johnson enjoys hiking, mountain biking, yoga, skiing, and spending time with her family when not at work.
